This has been a difficult question for me to answer. I like and enjoy the experience of SO many different types of food.
I've ruminated on this question all day and have thought: fresh fruit, chocolate, nice cheese, wine (hey that's a food right?).
And then my husband spent the majority of the afternoon chopping vegetables & fruits for a fresh pico salsa and a watermelon/feta/mint salad, he made taco meat mixture from scratch, our daughter and her family contributed freshly made guacamole, our son and his girlfriend cooked a crab/green banana/plantain fritter (I apologize...I'm Americanizing it...it's a Puerto Rican dish and I cannot spell nor pronounce it) and wonderful pina colada's made with Puerto Rican rum...
So at the end of the day, MY favorite food is ANY food which brings my family together and we have the opportunity to share in the creation and consumption of a wonderful meal. It forces us to slow down and be in the moment, allows us to catch up with each others lives and just enjoy the blessing of being together.
